So! We're heading out to klap some serious bootay at the STM Battle of the Bands Finals at Tanz Cafe in Fourways. We've had the priviledge of playing Tanz quite a few times. The vibe is always good, the people are always good, the music is always epic. So listen carefully: gather your clique, bring your good vibes and show face at Tanz for some quality local bands and a fuckin' great night out.

Riverside Rotary Battle of the Bands

Oct ' 12- Portuguese Club - Vanderbijl Park

Vanderbijl Park has been awesome to us! Black Light Panda went ahead and rocked out with our socks out and smacked the vanilla taste out of a lotta faces! and took the cup!!! What a feeling! Well done to all the bands that played, and our mates State Society for placing with us. Our success in Vanderbijl has really open BLP to the many splendoured South... Deep South of JHB where the roads are rough and the people are rougher :p. Thanks to Rotary Club, the Portuguese Club and our epic fans!

Tanz Cafe - Our new throne room! What a feeling! We had some insane competition with Triomf, North of Winter and Ezra Mercury. It was an awesome event with friends, family and fans. Thanks to STM Records, Music Connection and Tanz Cafe and all the great people involved in the Summer Mash Up. Awesome! Awesome! AWESOME!!

Two of the team went ahead and won the individual prizes... Our bright and shiny bassist Tony scooped up the best bassist awards and best vocals went to Bunny. (See our Blue Steel for the camera. Oh Yeah!) Always the best jamming with the band for the fans and doing it at Tanz! :p

Blacklight Panda would like to thank STM Records, Music Connection, Tanz Cafe and the almighty fans that make us who we are!

Kitty and Puppy Haven Charity Event

26 Jan - Walkhaven - Muldersdrift

STM Records organised a great event out at Kitty and Puppy Haven in Muldersdrift for charity. A laid back, balmy Saturday afternoon was absolutely perfect spent in the company of our animal friends. Awesome acts such as Jeremy Loops, Cameron Bruce, The Notion and of course yours truly kept the crowds grooving all afternoon and an absolutely amaze-balls time was had by all. Thank you STM Records and Walkhaven Dog Park for hosting and thank you to the fans for coming out and making it such a fab-o day out in the sun! Can't wait for the next one!

Balcony TV Video Shoot

31 Jan - Randlords - Braamfontein

We had the supreme pleasure of collaborating with BalconyTV once more to do our second video shoot on one of Joburgs most beautiful balconies, Randlords in Braamfontein. Besides being super swanky, the venue stumped us with the breath taking views of our City of Gold from the 22nd floor. Vladan Radulovic Photography documented the whole affair. Thanks to Stream and BalconyTV for a splendiferously spent Saturday morning under the sun!

Righty HO! Yea... Klapped some serious gym at Rumours Lounge this past Sunday Feb 10... Got through to the finals via trebuchet yo! The ever so fandabulous Blacklight Panda and Black Feather Sons are through and will battle (to the bitter end!!!) against a few more bands yet to be announced in the coming days to the Runours page methinks.

But YOU! Show your face, get a drink, get down, get dirty and fuckin' party with us. Blacklight will be showing flames!! Like we do. Tell your peeps.
